Winifred Josephine Osborne born November 30, 1915, died August 10, 2011 at age 95. She is revered by many and survived by, her children, Dawn Richardson and her husband Eddie, of Rogue River, John “Jackson” Osborne of San Francisco, Clifford Osborne of San Jose, as well as, her grandchildren, Daniel Richardson, (his wife Lori, their children, David, Stacey, Shannon, and Jenna), and M. David Richardson, (his wife, Stacie, their children, Aaron, Ashly, Abby, Andrew), and Diana Richardson, (her children, Elizabeth and Christopher), and Shawn Williams (her husband, Kevin, and children, Natasha and Christopher James), and Teisha Hase, (her husband, Edwin “Eddie” and their children, Monica and Eli), Lindsey and Tyler Osborne. The five great great grand children, Ingrid, Aaron, Jr., Conner, Aiden, and Roman will have to be told that their great great grand mother, Winifred, was in the movies and on the radio, continued college courses until she was over 70 years old, wrote (and published) poetry, short stories, won prizes for her paintings, did volunteer work for suicide help-line, hospice, pink ladies. When she was in her 70’s she went to nursing homes to read to the “old” people. Winifred had voice training and loved to sing, and in fact, was still singing solos in her church, The Unity Church of Grants Pass when she was over 80 years old. Her family, friends, and caregivers at Morrow Heights, in Rogue River, where she died, will remember and miss her. A memorial service will be at 11:30 a.m., Sunday, October 2, 2011 at Unity Church of Grants Pass, 1027 SE M St, Grants Pass Oregon.
