Wilma Jeraleen Marotz

Wilma Jeraleen Marotz, age 78, of Selma, died Sunday, January 8, 2012 at her home.

A viewing will be from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at Illinois Valley Funeral Directors.

A funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at Illinois Valley Funeral Directors. Interment will follow at Laurel Cemetery.

Remembrances may be made to Shriner’s Hospital for children, 3101 SW Sam Jackson Park Road, Portland, Oregon 97239.

She was born February 8, 1933 in Evansville, Indiana to William Albert Lance & Rose Marie Bush Lance. On January 11, 1959 in Reno, Nevada she married Charles A. “Chug” Marotz. She worked as the office manager for Diablo Service Co., a part of Connoco Phillips, in Pittsburg, California until her retirement in 1995. In 2002 she moved from Brentwood, California to Selma, Oregon.

She was a member of Soroptimist International.

Together with her husband she enjoyed fishing, bowling, and shooting pool and played in different pool leagues.

In addition to her husband, Charles “Chug” Marotz of Selma, Oregon; she is survived by a son, Bill Marotz of San Francisco, California; two daughters, Tammy Ricken of Surprize, Arizona and Patricia Egan of Shingle Springs, California; two brothers, Chester Lance of Indiana and Jim Lance of Florida; and six grandchildren.
