William Edward Pritchard

November 8, 1934 — March 27, 2013

Born in Boston, Mass on November 8th, 1934

He departed to his Heavenly Home on March 27th, 2013, while at his home in Grants Pass, Oregon.

He is now with his Mother, Lucy Pritchard & his Father, William Pritchard, and the Rat Pack enjoying paradise together.

He was known as Bill, Son, Brother, Husband, Uncle, Dad, Grandpa, Great Grandpa, Friend and a Man of Integrity.

He will be remembered by his sayings, “Like I say…” and, “I turned around and I…,” But most of all for his love for his family and making special memories for them to hold onto forever. He never forgot a birthday and always picked out the Best Cards! The last words he wanted to leave his family was, “Love your family and Bless those you can, live your life fully every day, make lasting memories, so when you leave this earth, and your family thinks of you, they’ll smile!”

He lived and enjoyed his life his way, and he departed his way too, with no pain sitting in his favorite chair. He was a wonderful man in every sense of the word, a man who loved Life and doing things for himself and for his family. He married his true love, after many years they parted ways, but always remained great friends, and he never remarried another. He loved sports (all sports), and going to Reno. He was great at predicting winners in every sport! He would include all of us during the horse races, let us pick out the horses and put money down on them for us and give us the winnings. He would always say, “like I say you can’t take it with you!” He loved seeing the joy it brought his daughter and grandchildren when he would give so unselfishly. He had a wonderful singing voice and loved sharing the music he loved with his family. He loved his steak and potatoes too! He lived independently cooking and cleaning for himself always giving thanks to his mom for teaching him how to cook and clean for himself! He would thank the Lord daily for letting him live such a blessed life. He would say, “Like I say I have lived 78 years pain free, never even a broken bone, and there are so many young, women & men in our military who die so young fighting for our Freedom, or come back broken or young children who have gone prematurely. Like I say, “I have no complaints.” Some verses from one of his favorite songs…My friend, I'll say it clear, I'll state my case, of which I'm certain, I've lived a life that's full, I traveled each and every highway, And more, much more than this, I did it my way, I've loved, I've laughed and cried, I've had my fill, my share of losing, And now, as tears subside, I find it all so amusing, To think I did all that, And may I say, not in a shy way, 'Oh, no, oh, no, not me, I did it my way.'

Definition of Grandpa Bill: The most generous and giving person you will ever meet. Always thought of everyone before himself and never gave a second thought to help his family. He brought joy and laughter to everyone’s lives and gave the best advice. Stubborn, but in the best way possible, and always had the best stories. He was an angel in disguise sent from our Heavenly Father. We are so happy he was such a big part of our lives and we wouldn’t have wanted it any other way, because he did it his way!

He is survived by his brother, Robert Pritchard, of North Chelmsford, Mass, Niece, Susan Healey of Marshfield, Mass, Nephew, Robert Pritchard of Reading, Mass, Great Nieces, Elizabeth & Madeline Healey of Marshfield, Mass. His Daughter, MaCher’e and Son in Law, Tim Gibson, His Grandchildren, Justin Ingoglia, Farrah Rutherford, Caylie & Eva Garland, Leyah & Warren Gibson, and Great Granddaughter Amber Nevaeh Ingoglia, plus his very good Friends who he considered as family Sue Skoglund, Chris, Cheryl and Christine Ault.

We Miss you very much & Love you even more, you will never be forgotten!

So from your Family & Friends…until we meet again, “Thanks for the Memories, for every time we think of you, We Smile.”
