William (Bill) Edgar Huff, age 95, of Hugo, died Wednesday, November 16th, 2022, peacefully, at his home.
William was born December 2nd, 1926, in Stillwater, New Jersey, to Edgar and Bertha Huff. He was born in New Jersey but spent most of his youth in Tennessee. He joined the United States Navy in 1944 at 17 years old, and served his time during World War II, with an honorable discharge, leaving the Navy in 1946.
On December 3rd, 1949, he married the love of his life, Barbara Landes Skinner. He lived with her, and their four sons, in New Jersey, Florida, Colorado and lastly Oregon, where he retired from Pacific Power after many years as a lineman.
In previous years, he was a faithful attendant of Merlin Baptist and Shan Creek Community Bible Church, participated for many years on a senior bowling league, with his wife, Barbara. He always enjoyed traveling, the game of golf, keeping up his homestead, especially with his massive gardens, and he very much enjoyed going on hunting trips with his family and friends.
William is survived by two of his sons, William H. Huff, of Coeur d’Alene, ID, and Terrence D. Huff of Hugo, OR. Also, by his eight grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara in 2013, and two sons, Timothy D. Huff in 2007 and Daniel E. Huff in 2011.
He was very loved and is very missed.
