Bill was born July 6, 1941 in Clinton, Iowa and was raised in Grants Pass by his parents, Dorothy Kennedy Woolard and Chet Woolard. He attended Grants Pass High School and proudly served in the United States Navy and was honorably discharged in 1962. He met Mary Ann Bornaman when they both worked at The Big Dipper in 1958. They were married on June 9, 1963, and for almost 50 years they have provided a stable, comfortable home for their family. Bill proudly worked at SWF Industries for 38 years as a forklift operator and shipping clerk.
Bill & Mary Ann have two children, Bill Jr and Nancy, who are their pride and joy. As a family they enjoyed spending time together, fishing, camping, riding motorcycles and woodworking. After his retirement Bill was happy working in his shop, yard and garden, listening to music, keeping his home of nearly 40 years beautiful for his loving and attentive wife, and continuing to make new friends.
In addition to his wife, Mary Ann, survivors include his son, Bill Jr and wife Julie of Livingston, Montana; his daughter, Nancy of Littleton, Colorado; two step-granddaughters, Hailey and Maggie; one sister, Mary Katherine Cilano and four brothers, Jerry Kennedy, Art Woolard, Howard Woolard and Chet Woolard.
