William Eugene “Billy” Harden, age 65, of Grants Pass, died September 30, 2021 at Asante Three Rivers Medical Center.
Billy was born March 16, 1956 in Fresno, California to Eugene Basil Harden and May Aileen (Holles). He attended schools in Fresno before joining the United States Marine Corps at age 17. After Billy’s discharge, he worked as a Merchant Marine for several years. In 1984, Billy moved from California to Oregon where he presided until his passing.
Billy was a member of Celebrate Recovery, Parkway Christian Center, River Valley Church, and the Ferguson House. He was also a certified peer mentor through the State of Oregon for drug and alcohol recovery.
Billy volunteered with food delivery, Gospel Rescue Mission, Women’s Crisis Center, and the Jail Ministries.
Billy’s hobbies included music, bartering, going to church, spending time with his daughters, drawing, riding his motorcycle, and car shows.
Billy’s survivors include children Kellie and her husband Mathew Rich of Grants Pass, Katie and her husband Zachery Hill of Grants Pass, William Watson and his wife Briana of California, and Sonja her husband Kyle Schultz of Grants Pass; stepdaughters, Cindi Finley of Fresno, California and Breonna Starns of Grants Pass; nine grandchildren; three sisters Joyce Woods, Janice Woods and JoAnn Harden; brother Glen Harden; and niece Brooke LeAnn Haungs.
Billy was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, and two stepsons.

A funeral service will be Friday, October 8, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Parkway Christian Center Fellowship Hall with burial and military funeral honors to follow at Hawthorne Memorial Gardens in Grants Pass. Arrangements by Hull & Hull Funeral Directors.
