William “Bill” Shaw, age 73, of Grants Pass, died Monday, October 31, 2011 at VA Southern Oregon Rehabilitation Center & Clinic in White City.
A celebration of life will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 12, 2011 at Vineyard Christian Fellowship, 275 Potts Way, Grants Pass. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Bill was born July 29, 1938 in Los Angeles, California to Lynn & Sally Shaw and later graduated from Washington Irving High School in Los Angeles. From 1957 to 1962 he served in the United States Navy aboard the U.S.S. Hornet. In 1967, he married Barbara. In 1975 he moved from Los Angeles to Grants Pass. For 34 years he worked as a grocery clerk for Albertson’s and just recently retired at the beginning of 2011.
Bill loved the Lord with all of his heart and always strived to be more like Jesus. He was always known for his love and joy for the Lord.
He enjoyed working around the house; camping; and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Shaw of Grants Pass; three sons, Shawn Shaw and Mike Shaw both of Grants Pass and Bryan Shaw of Phoenix, Oregon; children from a previous marriage, Julie, Jack and Joe, all of California; his mother, Sally Shaw of Bend, Oregon; a brother, John Shaw of Redmond, Oregon; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lynn Shaw.
