It is with great sorrow we share that William E. “Bill” Engler, 80, passed away Friday, February 26, 2021, at Riverwood Nursing Center, Lewisburg, PA, with his daughter Debbie by his side.
Bill was born January 19, 1941, in Sunbury, PA, a son of the late William E. and Claire Engler. With his father and stepmother Aldine Torres, he grew up in Hollister, CA, and graduated from San Benito High School in 1959.
Bill retired from IBM, where he was a draftsman, and later moved to Grants Pass, OR. With all of the extra time that retirement offered him, he entered a new journey into a successful real estate career.
Along with his newfound love for real estate, he also loved fishing, hunting, photography, traveling, and anything to do with the beautiful outdoors. However, his greatest joy came from spending time with his family.
Bill is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Debbie and Edward Figone, CA, and Natalie Engler, OR; two granddaughters Jennifer Lopez and Andrea Figone, CA; four great-grandchildren Jordan, Isaac, Brayden, and Tatum; one brother and sister-in-law Vernon and Marleen Klock, four sisters and one brother-in-law Jean Letteer, Cindy Hepner, Teena and Dave Bonaventura, and Sue Ann Sees and her companion Timothy Philips, of PA; and his ex-wife Lupe Engler Katsuda of OR.
The funeral service will be held at Hull & Hull Mortuary, 612 NW A Street Grants, OR. 97526, on March 19, 2021, at 1 pm, which will be followed by a Committal service at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Grants Pass. A viewing will begin thirty minutes before the service. Services will be closed to immediate family only due to Covid-19.
