William A. “Billy” Furia, age 33, of Glendale, died Saturday, November 17, 2012 as the result of an automobile accident.
Billy was born November 2, 1979 in Lompoc, California. He grew up in Marina, California and graduated from Seaside High School in Seaside, California. After graduation he moved to Healdsburg, California where he met his wife, Sarah and they were married on December 18, 1998 in Santa Rosa, California. They moved from Healdsburg to Glendale, Oregon in 2003 and he was employed by Purdy Construction, Inc in Central Point, Oregon.
Billy was a doting and devoted Dad to his three children; an amazing friend; and a loving uncle, brother, nephew, and son. He was an incredible husband.
Billy was a member of the Cement Masons Union #555.
He was heavily involved in his community and a “Dad” to many. He volunteered his time at church functions, as a softball coach, and was very involved in all his kids’ sports.
His hobbies included hunting, fishing, woodworking, carpentry, mountain biking, hiking, and kayaking.
In addition to his wife, Sarah Furia; he is survived by two daughters, Leilani and Brooklyn; and a son, William all of Glendale; his parents, Richard & Sharon Furia of Windsor, California; a sister, Samantha Lynn Paull of Windsor, California; and many sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Delma Lynn Smith; a sister, Lisa Michelle Hausley; a brother-in-law, Joshua Michael Petree; and many other Furia family members.
He will be FOREVER loved and missed. You could have met him for 5 seconds and he would’ve made an impact on your life.
A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 24, 2012 at Glendale Assembly of God Church with Pastor Terry Bess officiating. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
