Willa I. Shelton

Willa I. Shelton, age 91, of Grants Pass, died Tuesday, August 11, 2015.

Willa was born in Barnsdall, Oklahoma in 1924. In 1936 the family moved to Burbank, California and in 1938 she married James M. Shelton. She worked as a secretary in construction management for various firms from 1957 to 1986. In 2000 she moved from Mission Viejo, California to Grants Pass.

She volunteered at the Mission Viejo Hospital.

Survivors include a son, James R. Shelton of Grants Pass; two grandchildren, Steve Shelton of Las Vegas, Nevada and Kelly Rutherford of Monroe, Washington; four great-grandchildren, Katie Smith, Jessica Shelton, Stacey Rutherford and Amy Rutherford; two great-great-grandchildren, Oakley Smith and Owen Smith and a sister, Evenola Hornbaker of Pasco, Washington.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Martin & Mable Hurley.

A memorial service will be at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors.
