Wessley Darrow Myers

Wessley Darrow Myers, age 8, of Grants Pass, died Thursday, November 11, 2010 at Legacy Emanuel Hospital in Portland.

A memorial service will be held in the springtime. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Wessley was born November 29, 2001 in Grants Pass to Matthew & Kelly (DeWeese) Myers. He attended Manzanita Elementary School since Kindergarten and was currently in Mr. Tiffany’s Third Grade Class. He especially enjoyed math and science and recently learned about the life cycle of a butterfly.

Wessley was a dedicated student. He loved elephants and studied them. He enjoyed visiting the zoo and camping, especially at the coast. His favorite music was 80s rock songs.

He loved to cuddle and hug and was the “huggiest & most loving child ever.”

Survivors include his parents, Matthew & Kelly Myers; a sister, Ashley-Dean Myers; and a brother, Elijah Myers all of Grants Pass, Oregon; maternal grandparents, Anita & Jim Ryan; paternal grandparents, Donna & Robert Myers all of Grants Pass; and great-great-grandmother, Clara O’Brien of Bullhead City, Arizona.
