Wayne Leyon Cornelison, age 58, of Wolf Creek, died Thursday, June 11, 2009 at his home.
A graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at Eagle Point National Cemetery with Pastor Ron Marsh officiating. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Wayne was born June 29, 1950 in Spokane, Washington to Joseph & Helen Cornelison. After graduating from Atwater High School he joined the United States Army and served from February 1969 to 1980 including two tours in Vietnam. He graduated from University of California Santa Barbara with a Masters in Arts Degree. While living in Santa Barbara he worked for Santa Barbara Parks Department then moved to Grants Pass to help care for his mom and dad. For the last seven years he lived in Wolf Creek.
He was a member of American Legion and attended Wolf Creek Missionary Alliance Church.
He volunteered with fundraising for Wolf Creek Fire Department and cooked meals for various Wolf Creek functions.
His hobbies included maintaining his home and helping people in his community.
Survivors include a daughter, Melissa Clay; parents, Joseph & Helen Cornelison of Grants Pass; three sisters, Rose Cooper of Santa Barbara, Anna Cornelison of O’Brien and Linda Paulsen of Dacoma, Oklahoma; and a brother, Charles Cornelison of Visalia, California.
