Wayne Fiskin Jr, age 85, of Grants Pass, died Sunday, November 11, 2007 at his home.
A visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00, Friday, November 16, 2007 at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m at Hull & Hull Chapel. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
Wayne was born January 12, 1922 in Higgins, Texas to H.W. & Ruby (Ross) Fiskin.The family moved to California where Wayne attended schools and graduated from Exiter High School. From 1943 to 1946 he served in the United States Navy and was honorably discharged. In 1956 he married Lois Althea Hunter and they had two daughters. After she passed away in an automobile accident he married Shirley Pauline “Polly” LaMonk in Tacoma, Washington on May 23, 1959. They moved to Cayucos, California where they raised their family. Wayne worked as a free lance residential and commercial builder. In 1983 he and his wife retired to Merlin where they built their retirement home. In 2003 they moved to Grants Pass.
He especially enjoyed fishing, hunting, and gardening.
In addition to his wife, Pauline “Polly” Fiskin of Grants Pass; he is survived by five children, Edana Hall of Atascadero, California, Dann LaMonk of Murphy, Cherie D. Fiskin of Grants Pass, Anita D. Cristando of Eagle, Colorado, and Tim W. Fiskin of Grants Pass; a sister, Jonita M. Morin of Murphy; ten grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to his first wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Gladys Lucille Bell and Jerolyn G. Hall.
