Wayne Frederick Siegle

Wayne Frederick Siegle, age 76, of Merlin, died Monday, March 9, 2015 at Laurel Hill Nursing Center.

A memorial service will be at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at Grants Pass Community Church, 3191 Russell Road with Pastor Ed Forbes officiating. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Wayne was born October 18, 1938 in Los Angeles, California to George & Lucille Siegle. He studied engineering and safety and earned a Bachelor’s degree from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo (California). On September 3, 1966 in Anza, California he married the love of his life, Barbara Stevenson and they had a wonderful life together before she died before him on March 10, 2013. He retired from Iowa OSHA as a safety consultant. In 2002 he moved from Monroe, Iowa to Merlin.

His hobbies included fishing, hunting, and farming.

Survivors include three sons, Allen Frederick Siegle of Merlin, Oregon, Jeremy D. Siegle of Honolulu, Hawaii, and Shane M. Siegle of Waukee, Iowa; a sister, Judy Southard of Buena Park, California; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

In addition to his wife, Barbara Siegle, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Cheryl Ann Hubbard in 2013.
