Wayne Breashears, age 73, of Selma, died Sunday, June 29, 2008 at his home.
A visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to service time, Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at First Baptist Church in Selma.
A funeral service will begin at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at First Baptist Church in Selma with Pastor Monty Pope officiating. Interment will be at Lindsay-Strathmore Public Cemetery in Lindsay, California. Illinois Valley Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
Wayne was born October 3, 1934 in Plainview, Arkansas to Olas & Vivian (Cochran) Breashears. On August 28, 1954 in Lindsay, California he married Phyllis Todd. He worked at Armstrong/Pirelli Tire Company in Hanford, California for 34 years. In 2001 he moved from Visalia, California to Selma.
Wayne was a member of First Baptist Church in Selma.
He enjoyed fishing and deer hunting.
In addition to his wife, Phyllis Breashears of Selma; he is survived by a daughter, Cheryl Wray of Visalia, California and a son, Tom Breashears of Tulare, California; two sisters, Ellen Scott of Visalia, California and Jane Branum of Porterville, California; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Jack Breashears in 2007.
