Walter Floyd Wade, Jr, 44 years old, passed away on August 2, 2018 at Asante Three Rivers Medical Center in Grants Pass, Oregon.

He was born July 25, 1974 in Grants Pass, Oregon to Walter Floyd Wade, Sr and Mary Ellen Chronister-Savior.

JR grew up in Grants Pass and graduated from North Valley High School in 1992. After high school, he attended Swift Driving Academy where he graduated with honors and received a Commercial Driver’s License. He had a successful career as a long-haul driver as both an independent owner and Swift driver receiving multiple driving safety awards.

His biggest joy was spending time with his daughters. In his childhood, he developed a love for cars as he and his father spent many hours building the engine for his first Chevy pickup. His uncle taught him the art of gunsmithing and bullet casting for which he starred in his first home video. As an outdoor enthusiast, he created many memories with his nephews and cousins riding ATV’s/dune buggies. But, most of his spare time he enjoyed hanging out with his family and occasionally practicing his culinary skills at the outdoor grill and smoker. He will be greatly missed by us all.

JR is survived by two beautiful daughters, Faith and Elizabeth; step-daughters, Brittany and Victoria and step-son, Morgan (mother Wendy); father Walter of Coos Bay; mother Mary; sister Jeanie and brother-in-law David; nephews Adam (Amie) and Aaron; great-nephews Malachi and Saxton; great-nieces Kaya and Mila; uncles Donny and aunt Wanda; uncles Kenny and Bobby; cousins Wayde (Robin), Sissy, Vella, Brian, Brandon (Alesha); and other relatives and friends.

A graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 10, 2018 at Hawthorne Memorial Gardens. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
