Virginia (Ginny) Killion was born on December 17, 1927 in Muleshoe, Texas to Earl and Eva Atchley. In 1940, when her father passed away at an early age, she, her mother and younger brother, Glenn, moved to Los Angeles, California, where she attended Canoga Park High School. She met and married Ray Killion in 1947.
They raised 4 children in Van Nuys and Woodland Hills, California and ran several businesses in the San Fernando Valley before relocating to Southern Oregon in the 1960s where they purchased a 200 acre ranch in Sunny Valley. They moved to Grants Pass in 1976 after their children had grown. She and Ray retired in the early 1980s and traveled throughout the USA before settling in Rogue River in 1990. Ray passed away in 2004. In Rogue River, Ginny made many new friends and became involved in the Rogue Valley Community Church where she met Stephen West. They were married in 2016.
Ginny spent her working years in Oregon at Oregon Technical Products and Diamond Cabinets. She had a passion for gardening and enjoyed antiques. Above all, she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends.
Ginny was preceded by her first husband, Ray, and daughter, Linda. She is survived by her husband, Stephen, 3 children, Mike, Vickie and Laura, as well as 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
