Virginia G. Bragg

Virginia G. Bragg, age 79, of Grants Pass, died Sunday, June 8, 2008 at Three Rivers Community Hospital.

Virginia was born November 2, 1928 in Bell, California to George & Frances (Engel) Smith. On September 4, 1945 in Victorville, California she married Thomas E. Bragg, who preceded her in death. She lived in the Roseburg/Sutherlin area for 30 years and moved to Grants Pass 3 years ago.

She was a member of Roseburg YMCA where she enjoyed aquatic exercises.

Her hobbies included watching television, attending TOPS meetings, crafts, potlucks, playing bingo, and sewing dresses for her daughters.

Survivors include three daughters, Virginia E. Ayers of Grants Pass, Rebecca Lopez of Longmont, Colorado, and Charleene Hindman of Reno, Nevada; a son, Thomas E. Bragg of Reno, Nevada; two sisters, Georgia Mead of Mojave Valley, Arizona and Doris Berry of Myrtle Creek; three brothers, Robert Smith of Myrtle Creek, George “Joe” Smith of Springfield, and Ronald Smith of Clallam Bay, Washington; 14 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Tommy Bragg in 1995.
