Vincent Charles Vidlak Jr “Vinny”, age 44, of Grants Pass, died Thursday, April 3, 2008 in Grants Pass.
A memorial service will be at 6:30 p.m., Friday, April 11, 2008 at Rivers of Life Foursquare Church, 450 SW “J” Street, with Dan Vidlak and Mark Vidlak conducting. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made in Vinny’s memory to Gospel Rescue Mission, (Men’s Facility), PO Box 190, Grants Pass, Oregon 97528.
Vinny was born December 7, 1963 in Canoga Park, California to Vincent & Sharon Vidlak. In February 1972 at the age of eight, he moved with his family from Chatsworth, California to Grants Pass. He attended Murphy Elementary School, Lincoln Savage Junior High, and Hidden Valley High School. In 1982 he graduated from New Hope Christian School. Right out of high school and while attending Rogue Community College, he worked at Byrd’s Bakery. In December 1985 he married Tracy Miner and they later divorced. He worked for Victory Builders out of Roseburg, Cascade Block and currently was employed for his dad with Vidlak Masonry.
Vinny attended Cascade Bible Fellowship.
He was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan and on his 44th birthday went to San Francisco where he attended a Vikings game and they won. He especially loved his children and grandchild and adored his 13 nieces and nephews.
Survivors include a daughter, Amber Vidlak and two sons, Alexander Vidlak and Adam Vidlak all of Grants Pass; his parents, Vincent & Sharon Vidlak and paternal grandmother, Marion Vidlak all of Grants Pass; two sisters, Vickie Brown and Laura Saunders both of Williams; two brothers, Dan Vidlak and Mark Vidlak both of Williams; a granddaughter, Kali Linn of Grants Pass; many Aunts and Uncles; and 13 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather Stan 'Buzz' Vidlak and by Edward and Florence Castellano , his maternal grandparents.
