Vincent A. Homand

Vincent A. Homand, age 92, passed away Sunday, August 4, 2019 at Asante Three Rivers Medical Center in Grants Pass.

Vince was born in Van Nuys, California on August 9, 1926, the only child of Fred & Nina Homand. He studied Pharmacy at the University of Southern California before changing course to pursue a career in the aerospace industry. In 1946 he moved to Grants Pass where he met his wife Helen. In 1951 they welcomed their first son Steve and soon after moved back to Southern California where Scott was born in 1962. In 1989 upon retiring from Hughes Aircraft Company, he and Helen returned to Grants Pass where he enjoyed building and flying model airplanes and outings with his corvette club.

Vince is survived by his wife Helen; son Steve and daughter-in-law Terry; granddaughter Danielle; and son Scott.
