Vera A. Thompson

Vera A. Thompson, age 74, of Grants Pass, died Thursday, December 12, 2013 at Three Rivers Medical Center.

A service may be held at a later date. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Vera was born June 20, 1939 in Arlington, California. She grew up in Grants Pass and attended Grants Pass High School. In 1957 she married Larry Thompson in Reno, Nevada. They lived in the Mohave Desert while raising their family. They divorced in 1982 and she returned to Grants Pass. She lived in Portland then to Kanab, Utah where she worked for Stampin Up in the paper department as the lead supervisor for eight years. She retired ten years ago and returned once again to the place she had always loved and called home, Grants Pass.

Her hobbies included scrapbooking, ceramics, sewing, reading and making homemade greeting cards. She especially enjoyed her grandkids.

Survivors include her children, Cindy Baughman of Needles, California, Bruce Thompson of Bend, Oregon, Beverly Thompson and Linda Cooper both of Grants Pass; a sister, Betty Thompson of Medford, Oregon; brothers, Jack Yosten of Grants Pass, Jerry Yosten of Sutherlin, Oregon, Mike Hibdon of California and Mark Hibdon of Santa Ana, California; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Charles & Dorothy Wheat and Olen & Alva Hibdon.
