Vanora Lee Van Sant, 92, of Grants Pass died September 16, 2023 at Carl’s House Adult Care Home.
She was born Vanora Lee Bowers on June 2, 1931 in Liberty Center, Ohio to Wayne Homer Bowers and Lillian Ruth (Hadley). In 2020, Vanora moved to Grants Pass from Apache Junction, Arizona where she enjoyed the Arizona heat and also kept her home heated to 80 degrees year-round.
A fun-loving Aunt, Vanora loved trips to Ohio and Oregon to visit family. A story she told in Arizona, living in the view of the Superstition Mountain, was about “Jacob Waltz’s treasure buried up there on that mountain”.
Vanora’s many hobbies included knitting, traveling, and bicycling.

She is preceded in death by the two loves of her life, Al Thomson then William "Bill" Van Sant; both passing with cancer.
Survivors include many nieces and nephews.
There will be a public viewing at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m on October 5th, 2023.
There will also be a graveside Service 11:00 a.m at Hawthorne Memorial Gardens on October 6th, 2023.
