Valentina Z. Cirina

Valentina Zakharenko Cirina, age 53, of Grants Pass, died Friday, March 6, 2009 at her home.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 9, 2009 at Hull & Hull Chapel with Father Michael Walker officiating. Mausoleum entombment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Valentina was born November 22, 1955 in Kiev, Ukraine. She was a physics and mathematics teacher in her native country. In 1995 in Kiev she married Guisseppe “Joe” Cirina of Grants Pass, which became her home thereafter. While attending Rogue Community College in recent years, she worked part-time at Macy’s in Medford.

Survivors include her former husband, Guisseppe “Joe” Cirina; a son, Sergio Cirina; a stepson, Jesse Cirina and wife Tina; and a granddaughter, Ashley all of Grants Pass; a brother, Boris Zakharenko and his family of Ukraine; and many dear friends in Grants Pass, Italy, California, and Ukraine.
