Valara Louise "Duck" Dickerson

Valara Louise “Duck” Dickerson, age 82, of Grants Pass, Oregon passed away on January 5, 2012 in Medford, Oregon. Louise was born February 13, 1929 in Grants Pass to Frank & Velda Breazeale. She was one of three daughters.

On April 5, 1947 she married Robert L. Dickerson who survives, they had four children. Richard Dickerson of Portland, Oregon, Daryl Dickerson of Rogue River, Oregon, Sandra Kieffer of Medford, Oregon, an Sharon Comstock of Estacada, Oregon; as well as 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Louise spent her early years in Selma, Oregon. She graduated from Kerby High School in the Illinois Valley. She loved sewing, gardening, and spending time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her two sisters, Dorothy Smith and Jean Wheeler.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday January 14, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses on Williams Highway in Grants Pass, Oregon.
