On December 30th, 2020 Toni Jean crossed through the veil into eternal rest, after a long battle with health issues. At approximately 12 p.m. she took her last breath with her sweetheart of 57 years and her daughter by her side. It was described by her daughter as a, "beautifully sound and peaceful moment".
Toni Jean was born March 14th, 1945 in South San Francisco, CA to Alice (Babe) Riordan Galli and Anthony Henry Galli. Until her early teenage years she lived in Daly City, CA. Eventually moving to Grants Pass, OR where she attended Grants Pass High School, graduating in 1963. Two days after graduating, she married the love of her life, Robb Lee Robbins. They would probably have been married her senior year of high school but her father explicitly stated he would not grant her permission until she received her high school diploma.
Toni Jean and Robb lived in the San Francisco Bay area for years where they started their family. In December of 1979 they moved to Ashland, OR so Robb could start his work with the Ashland Fire Department. Shortly after moving to Ashland, Toni started her small business called, "Robbins' Nest Daycare". Here she cared for countless young children who grew up thinking she just had to be family.
Toni Jean loved adventures and was not afraid to push the envelope. In fact, to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary, they traveled to Las Vegas with family and enjoyed ziplining and a full day at a water park. She spent many hours white water river rafting and buzzing around town on one of the two small motorcycles she and Robb rode. She was a very talented crafter and did beautiful stained glass and beadwork. She loved sewing, knitting, crocheting, and going to a local glassblowing shop where she and her family had a tradition of making their own handblown Christmas ornaments each year.
Toni Jean and Robb enjoyed camp hosting each summer throughout Oregon and Northern California where they amassed a large collection of matching Forest Service jackets. In fact, their closets were full of matching shirts, shoes and even socks. One would be hard pressed to find a day they were not dressed alike.
Toni Jean has been described as amazingly organized, fiercely dedicated to family and friends and a bit crazy in a fun way. One family member remembers Toni Jean taking a water gun and filling it with toilet water then dousing a certain young man in an attempt to introduce him to white water rafting. Onlookers were rolling on the floor with laughter.
Toni Jean is survived by her three children, Bob Robbins, Ron Robbins, and Becky Brown, along with their respective spouses. She is also survived by two sisters, Diana Randolph and Sheree Shields and one brother, Don Galli.
She is predeceased by two brothers, Bobby Galli and Mel Galli. The proud grammie of Brieanna Anderson, Kerri Brooks, Heather Glazier, Timothy Robbins and Kaitlyn Robbins. These grandchildren have blessed her with three great-grandchildren, Keith Brooks, Annabelle Glazier, and Elliot Robbins. Her granddaughter Brieanna will add to the family a baby girl expected sometime in the spring of this new year. We are sure Toni Jean is giving sage advice to this new little girl about to enter this world.
Apart from being a bit stubborn, strong willed and a person who gave her uncensored opinion, she was kind hearted, loving, and pretty much on point with her advice to family and friends.
"Grammie Brat", as she was lovingly referred to by her great-grandchildren. We will miss you dearly and expect you to greet us on the other side when our time comes with your bright smile and that wonderful sparkle of mischief in your eyes.
