Todd Eric Howell, age 59, of Grants Pass, died December 20, 2022.
Todd grew up in Los Angeles, California graduating from high school in the San Fernando Valley. In his youth, he was an All-Star baseball, basketball, and football player, as well as an avid surfer. As a young adult, Todd moved to Las Vegas, where he adopted his long-time companion, Molly, a miniature schnauzer. In 2015, Todd moved to Grants Pass to be near his family. He was fortunate to find work with a great local business, Gates Home Furnishings, where he developed many close friendships.
Todd loved his life in Southern Oregon. In the weeks before he passed away, he said, “I never had a good life until I moved here.” Because he didn’t want to give up the great life he found in Grants Pass, he fought a long battle with cancer until succumbing on December 20, 2022.
Todd loved walking in the park with Molly, golfing, fishing, painting, working on and detailing his Camaro, and spending time with his family.
Todd was preceded in death by his father Standford (Sandy) Howell and his beloved miniature schnauzer, Molly
He is survived by his mother Marcie Schell of Grants Pass; sister Christi Siedlecki of Grants Pass; nephews Nicholas Siedlecki of Medford and Eric Siedlecki of Grants Pass; and great-nephew Alexander Siedlecki of Grants Pass.
Remembrances may be made to Miniature Schnauzer Rescue Northwest at msrnorthwest.org or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at stjude.org.
