Thomas Steven O'Neill

Thomas Steven O'Neill, born on December 27, 1955 in Ventura, CA, died peacefully in his sleep very early on Sunday, March 29, 2020 at Royale Gardens in Grants Pass, OR.

Tom served in the U.S. Army and was stationed at Friedberg, Germany. He worked for FEMA rebuilding after the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake. In 1995 Tom took a job at Oregon Swiss Precision in Grants Pass and worked until his health forced him to stop.He spent months at the VA in White City, then lived a quiet year independently at Brookdale (2016). After a difficult year in Portland (2017) Tom returned to Grants Pass and received nursing home care, first at Highland House and then at Royale Gardens.

Tom's memory was phenomenal, especially about his interests: baseball, football (49ers), John Wayne, early TV comedians. He put time and energy into gathering hundreds of DVD movies which will be offered to Royale Gardens to entertain people there in the future.

Tom is survived by his three siblings, Susanne Anderson, Daniel McRae and Kathy Ann O'Neill.
