Thomas Samuel LeChuga, age 69, of Grants Pass, died Friday, November 11, 2011 at his home.
A celebration of life will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Sunday, November 20, 2011 at American Legion Hall, 206 NW F Street, Grants Pass. Cards may be sent to his family at 3810 Upper River Road, Grants Pass, OR 97526. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Tom was born October 18, 1942 in Oakland, California to Carlos Lechuga and Lupe Villalobos Lechuga. In 1961 he graduated from John Swett High School in Crockett, California. From 1964 to 1967 he proudly served in the United States Army and was a Viet Nam Veteran. He moved from Rodeo, California to Grants Pass.
His memberships included American Legion; Elks; Fraternal Order of Eagles; Loyal Order of Moose; Masons of California No 122 – 32nd degree; Scottish Rite of Freemasonry – 32nd degree; Shriners; and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Tom enjoyed working in his vineyard that he named, “Sierra’s Vineyard” and socializing with friends and family. He was a proud grandfather and especially loved his weekly trips for breakfast and ice cream cones with his three grandchildren.
He is survived by his son, Todd Andrew Lechuga of Vacaville, California; a daughter, Brandy Louise Lechuga-Falk and husband Mike Falk of Grants Pass, Oregon; three grandchildren, Sierra, Ashley and Austin Falk; his brother, Andrew Lechuga and wife Jeanie Lechuga; two sisters, Patricia Lechuga and Roberta Carmack and husband Bob Carmack; uncles, Genaro Lechuga and Sal Lechuga and wife Shirley Lechuga; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He will be remembered by many of his colleagues from Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART).
