Thomas L. Waldon, age 60, of Grants Pass, died Monday, June 27, 2011 at his brother’s home in Grants Pass.
A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 1, 2011 at Eagle Point National Cemetery. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Thomas was born September 1, 1950 in Chicago, Illinois to Billy & Lillian Waldon and was raised in Southern California. During the Vietnam War he served in the United States Army until his honorable discharge November 26, 1969. He was proud of his service to his country having served with the 196th light infantry brigade and was awarded the Purple Heart from injuries suffered while clearing tunnels of the enemy. In 1972 he moved to Grants Pass where he attended Rogue Community College and had lived ever since.
His hobbies included playing games with his son; working on his trailer, watching television, and reading, especially non-fiction and documentaries.
Survivors include a son, Shawn Waldon of Merlin; his mother, Lillian Waldon of Grants Pass; a sister, Cookie Campbell of Grants Pass; two brothers, Billy Waldon Jr and Michael Waldon both of Grants Pass; and one grandson.
He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Waldon Sr in 2000
