Theresa M. Camarena, age 66, of Grants Pass, died Friday, December 21, 2012 at Royale Gardens Health & Rehabilitation Center where she resided for 14 years.
A memorial service will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, January 4, 2013 at Jerome Prairie Bible Church with Pastor James Downing officiating. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

She was born Theresa M. Perez on March 8, 1946 in Denver, Colorado where she grew up and graduated from Manual High School in 1964. In May 1966 she earned her cosmetology license from Emily Griffith Opportunity School in Denver. In May 1980 she earned an associate’s degree in Community and Social Services from Community College of Denver. In 1988 drawn by the beauty and way of life she moved to Grants Pass, Oregon. After suffering many small strokes and a major stroke in 1998, she needed full-time care.
Theresa volunteered at her children’s school activities; with Boy Scouts; and as a church youth leader.
Her hobbies included gardening, reading, Sci-Fi movies, hiking, camping, cooking, arts & crafts, and karate.
Survivors include four children, Greg Jaramillo, Dominic Jaramillo, Lisa Gavlik and Libby Camarena all of Grants Pass, Oregon; her father, Frank Jerone; two sisters, Patricia Perez and Linda Perez both of Denver, Colorado; 14 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Eva Perez.
