Theodore "Ted" Deter

Theodore Redmond “Ted” Deter, age 88, of Grants Pass, died March 12, 2019 at Asante Three Rivers Medical Center.

Ted was born September 12, 1930 in Yreka, California to Theodore & Geraldine Deter. During the Korean War he served in the United States Navy on the Battleship New Jersey. He worked as a gypo logger in the timber industry. In 1991 he moved from Humboldt County, California to Josephine County, Oregon.

Ted enjoyed rock-hounding.

Survivors include his wife Ruth Deter; seven children Joy, Rob, Glenn, Lisa, Traci, Brian, and Clinton; a sister Ann; and 12 grandchildren.

A graveside service will be at 12 Noon, Saturday, March 30, 2019 at Evergreen Cemetery in Yreka, California.
