Theodore Randle "Ted" Fasy

Theodore Randle “Ted” Fasy, age 83, of Grants Pass, died Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at Spring Pointe.

A graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 29, 2012 at Eagle Point National Cemetery. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Ted was born April 30, 1929 in West Palm Beach, Florida to Frank & Mary Fasy. For 20 years he served in the United States Navy as a chief engineman with tours in Japan, Korean, and Vietnam. He owned and operated a gun shop in Long Beach, California as well as was maintenance engineer for several companies the last being Reynolds Aluminum. On May 19, 1979 at Ports of Call in San Pedro, California he married Marcia Allbritton. Together they lived on their sailboat for 11 years sailing 40,000-50,000 miles to places including French Polynesia, Fiji, Tonga, Western Samoa, American Samoa, New Zealand and many others. In 1990 they moved to Glendale, Oregon and in 2011 moved to Grants Pass.

Ted was a member of the National Rifle Association; enjoyed shooting and was the 1969 National Long Bore Rifle Champion.

His other hobbies included sailing; building; woodworking; and scrimshander (old sailors’ art of carving and inking designs on ivory).

In addition to his wife, Marcia Fasy of Grants Pass, Oregon; Ted is survived by two daughters, Suzan Allbritton of Venice, California and Julie Loe of Morro Bay, California; a son, Allen Fasy of Rochester, New York; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
