Theodore "Harold" Beck Jr

Theodore “Harold” Beck Jr, age 54, of Cave Junction, died Sunday, October 31, 2010 at his home.

A memorial service will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, November 4, 2010 at Illinois Valley Funeral Directors in Cave Junction.

Harold was born December 15, 1955 in Grants Pass, Oregon to Theodore & Kathleen (Rossiter) Beck. He was raised in the Illinois Valley and attended Evergreen School, Kerby School, and graduated from Illinois Valley High School. In November 1976 he joined the United States Army and was medically discharged in 1977. For 22 years he worked at Rough and Ready Lumber Company. He then worked at the Illinois Valley Golf Course for five years.

His hobbies included hunting, fishing, golfing, boating and wood cutting.

Survivors include two children, Jeremy Justin Beck and Angalique Clara “Angie” Beck; his mother, Kathleen V. Beck; his stepfather, Robert Parsons; four sisters, Gail Beck Frailey, Allyson Beck Chaffee, Cheryl Parsons Couts and Brenda Parsons Wagnor; a brother, Robert A. Parsons; and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Gift Beck in November 1981 and his father, Theodore Harold Beck Sr in March 2000.
