Thelma Audrey "Timmie" Arnold

Thelma Audrey “Timmie” Arnold, age 87, of Merlin, died Thursday, October 13, 2011 at her home.

No services are planned. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Timmie was born October 4, 1924 in Lynn, Massachusetts to Robert & Mina Thomson. At age four, she moved with her family to California. In 1943 she graduated from Newport Harbor High. On March 6, 1943 she married Harlan Arnold. For many years she worked as a telephone operator. In October 1973 she moved from Costa Mesa, California to Merlin, Oregon.

Her hobbies included reading, canning, garage saling, and camping with family.

Survivors include two daughters, Cheryl (Ron) Cline of Merlin, Oregon and Alison (Tom) Woolsey of Orange, California; a sister, Jeannie Goochey and a brother, Robert Thomson; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harlan Arnold and a son, Bruce Arnold.
