Terry D. Mcallister

Terry McAllister, age 71, of Grants Pass, passed away on Friday, December 10, 2021.
He was born Terry Dale McAllister on September 29, 1950 in Clinton, Indiana to Walter and Marie (Stultz) McAllister. He lived in Clinton until his family moved to Corona, California and in 1964 moved to Grants Pass and attended Grants Pass High School Class of 1968. On May 22, 1969 he married the former Peggy Elaine McCollum. Terry was a good provider for his family and worked as a millwright in plywood manufacturing. He retired from Cascade Block.
Terry and Peggy belonged to Redwood Christian Church and ran the food pantry for four years. He was also an active member of Simchat Torah Fellowship and developed a great interest in learning Hebrew.
His hobbies included restoring old cars, motorcycles, steam engines, and old scooters; traveling; and especially spending time with his grandchildren. Every morning for forty years, Terry met up with his friends at Donutland for coffee and doughnuts.
Survivors include his spouse Peggy McAllister, son Boe McAllister, daughter Lisa McAllister all of Grants Pass; sister Virginia Standel of Redding CA; and three grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be at Redwood Christian Church on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Bob Wood officiating. Private interment at Hawthorne Memorial Gardens, and services by Hull & Hull Funeral Directors.
