Teresa Marie Hicks

Teresa Hicks was born Teresa Marie Kroener July 19, 1958 in Los Angeles, California. When she was one year old she moved with her grandma and adopted mom Fay Kroener to Crescent City, California. She graduated Del Norte High School class of 1976 and went to College of the Redwoods, Del Norte County. From June 23, 1977 until 1986 she was married to her high school sweetheart William Camarena. On September 20, 1990 she married Scott Hicks. Teresa was formerly a teacher’s aide then worked for the Department of Human Services for 15 years. In 2007 she moved to Josephine County.

Teresa started and operated the Josephine County Neighborhood Chat group and volunteered for clean ups at Laurel Cemetery in Cave Junction.

Her hobbies included football – 49ers fan; NASCAR – Kasey Kane fan; and was very into news and politics.

Teresa was an amazing person with a heart of gold and was always thinking of others.

Survivors include her three children, Rachel Wood, Destiny, Ridenour, and Dustin Hicks; her adopted children, Paloma Valdez and Alex Cole; children-in-law, Patrick Walston, Bruce Ridenour, and Jordyn Cole; her grandchildren, Holly Wood, Patrick Walston Jr, Isaac Walston, Priscilla Walston, Crystal Ridenour, Bruce Ridenour Jr, Jordynn Hicks, and Jada Hicks; and a sister, Carolina Cassidy of Vancouver, Washington.
