Sylvia Smith-Bearg, age 91, of Grants Pass, died Sunday, October 14, 2012 at Fair View Transitional Health Center.
A celebration of life will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 27, 2012 at Calvary Lutheran Church.
Private interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Sylvia was born November 16, 1920 in Mount Pleasant, Texas to Corbett & Nancy (Newman) Crow. After World War II she owned and operated a Pie Shop and sewed for Shadow Line lingerie in San Luis Obispo, California. While living in Pleasant Hill, California and Pacheco, California she worked as an Avon sales representative. She moved from Pacheco to Grants Pass 12 years ago.
Sylvia was a member of the Southern Baptist Church and later attended Calvary Lutheran Church.
She enjoyed being a homemaker most of all. She was a seamstress and enjoyed sewing for her family.
Sylvia is survived by her husband, Lowell G. Bearg of Grants Pass, Oregon; a daughter, Sandra Andrew of Grants Pass, Oregon and a daughter, Joyce Eldridge of Suffolk, Virginia; a sister, Lee Coley of Mariposa, California; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Thelma and Catherine and a brother, Frank.
