Stuart "Stu" Carr

Stuart “Stu” Carr, age 83, of Grants Pass, died Saturday, October 26, 2013 at his home.

A memorial service will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors. Private inurnment will be at Hawthorne Memorial Gardens.

Stu was born February 1, 1930 in Cape Town, South Africa to Edward L. Carr & Ruth Kearny Carr. After moving to Los Angeles, California he graduated from Loyola High School. He married his high school sweetheart, Patricia Kessler. In 1987 he retired from North American Rockwell and in 1989 moved from California to Grants Pass.

Stu was a member of the Grants Pass Elks Club. He volunteered his time as a little league baseball coach.

His hobbies include baseball, volleyball, golf, and gardening.

Survivors include two children, Deborah Cekosh and husband Bruce of Vashon, Washington and Lawrence Carr and wife Patricia of Gig Harbor, Washington; four grandchildren, Amy, Matt, Heather, and Justin; and four great-grandchildren, Taylor, Peyton, Kelly Smith and Lily Smith.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Pat.
