Steven Lee Hanscom

Steven Lee Hanscom, age 57, of Grants Pass, died Monday, June 13, 2011 at his home.

No services are planned. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Steve was born October 18, 1953 in Grants Pass to Lee Roy & Iola Marie Hanscom. He was raised in Grants Pass and graduated from Grants Pass High School in 1972. He graduated from Rogue Community College in 1974 with an Associate of Arts Degree. He was trained in Automotive Technology and worked for Shelton’s Auto Parts for 25 years as a counter parts person.

His hobbies included hunting, fishing and driving through the woods. He also enjoyed old cars, his pet cats and watching Nascar racing.

Survivors include his mother, Iola Hanscom of Grants Pass; caregiver and friend, Mike Mettler and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Sue Hanscom-Smith in 2008 and his father, Lee Roy Hanscom in 2010
