Sophia "Sally" Sherman

Sophia D. Sherman, age 91, of Rogue River, died Friday, February 8, 2013 at Morrow Heights.

A viewing will be from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Friday, February 15, 2013 at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Private interment will be at Woodville Cemetery.

Sophia was born May 30, 1921 in Chicago, Illinois. She lived in Illinois and Michigan before moving at a young age to California. She and her husband lived in Reseda, California before moving to Merlin, Oregon ten years ago. She moved to Rogue River about nine years ago.

Sophia enjoyed sitting outside, watching religious programs on television, and most especially loved her grandchildren.

Survivors include a daughter, Janis Kessler of Merlin, Oregon; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Sean Salmeron.
