Sidney Eugene Herzog, 57, of Grants Pass, died Sunday, March 25, 2007 at his home.
A gathering and light buffet reception for friends and family will be held from 12 O clock Noon to 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 28, 2007 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Savage Street Building. A visitation will be held in the Relief Society Room at the church. Private interment will be at Eagle Point National Cemetery. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
Sid was born November 10, 1949 in Tacoma Washington. On March 10, 1973, in Phoenix Arizona, he married the former Lisa Elaine Larson. As a patriotic man Sid served in the US Navy for 20 years and earned the rank of Senior Chief. His duties included serving as a nuclear components welder. While serving in the Navy, he and his family lived all over the United States including Hawaii and Guam. Fifteen years ago his family moved to Grants Pass, and has owned and operated Precision Sharpening.
Sid was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Beacon Hill Ward and the Veterans of Foreign War in Grants Pass.
His hobbies included fishing and target shooting.
Survivors include wife, Lisa E. Herzog of Grants Pass; three daughters, Traci Andrews of Hoquiam, Washington, Rochelle Fastidio and Kristin Hooper both of Grants Pass; four sons, Ken Larrin of Bremerton, Washington, J.J. Herzog of Portland,, Brad Herzog of Baltimore, Maryland and Craig Herzog of Meza, Arizona; brother John Herzog of Tonasket, Washington; and six grandchildren.
