Shirley Rhea Summerfield Davis

Shirley Rhea Summerfield Davis, age 67, of Glendale, died Thursday, April 14, 2011 at Highland House Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 16, 2011 at Azalea Community Chruch with Pastor Wayne Mick officiating. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors were in charge of arrangements.

She was born in Pendleton, OR to Adolph & Bernita (Watson) Lick. Graduated from Yreka Union High School in 1961. She was in the US Army stationed in Fort Riley, KS from 1961 to 1965. She married Gerald Summerfield on September 14, 1972 in Winnemucca, NV, they later divorced. She later married Michael Davis on April 23, 1998 in Willow Creek, CA. In 1998 she moved from Pilot Rock, OR, where she had lived for 26 years, to Glendale, OR. She was a homemaker, childcare provider and an accomplished seamstress. She made many wedding dresses and prom dresses. Her passions were gardening and genealogy. Above all, she loved people. Her family and friends were always most important to her, but she loved us all.

She was a member of Campfire for 25 years as a Board Member, Area Director and Leader. She was also a member of the Cow Creek Valley Community Assoc. for 6 yrs.

Survivors are her husband, Michael Davis, of Glendale, OR; children, Kathy (Summerfield) & Chris Bodewig, Pilot Rock, OR, Robert & Julie Summerfield, Pilot Rock, OR, Traci Summerfield, Pilot Rock, OR, Roxi Summerfield Pendleton, OR, Becky & Leigha Davis, Eureka, CA, James & Anna Davis, Salyer, CA.; a sister, Sharon Dodson, Redding, CA; a brother, Robert Lick, La Grande, OR. She had 13 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren.

Her parents Adolph Lick and Bernita (Watson) Lick preceded her in death.
