Shirley Mae Ritsch was born October 19, 1930 to parents Nellie May and John Albert Kincaid in Scotia California. Shirley and her parents moved shortly after her birth, to Grants Pass Oregon where she resided the remainder of her life.
She graduated from Grants Pass High School in 1948. She married Joseph Richard Ritsch July 1 1956 after he was discharged from the US Army where he was serving in Korea. They had two children daughter Kathryn Titus of Roseburg and son, John Ritsch of Grants Pass.
She worked for Grants Pass School District as bookkeeper in the administrative office. She started work for the school district the day after graduating from high school and continued until her retirement at age 55.
After retirement she and her husband made several trips to Europe visiting relatives in Austria. They also traveled to Australia and the South Pacific islands. Many winter months they traveled to Southern California. They continued many years camping with their children and grandchildren visiting various State and National Parks. She and her husband camped and fished thru out Southern Oregon.
Shirley enjoyed all of her grandchildren and family attending numerous sporting, dance and marching band events across the state of Oregon.
She is survived by her children Kathryn and John; as well as six grandchildren, Ryan Ritsch, Danielle Mayo, Kelsey Mace, Dr. Eric Titus, Aaron Titus and Anna Titus as well as great grandchildren Tyoran, Jace, Zella, Finn, Morrison, Lily and Kasey.
She is preceded in death by her husband Joseph Richard Ritsch and her parents Nellie May and John Albert Kincaid.
A graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m., July 14, 2021 at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Grants Pass.
