Shirley Mae Biegert, age 83, of Medford, died Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at Rogue Valley Medical Center.

Shirley was born March 22, 1925 in Salt Lake City, Utah. In 1966 she and her family moved to Deadwood, Oregon to work a black angus cattle ranch. In 1967 she moved back to Los Angeles where she resided until 1973 when she returned and settled in Medford. She was a wife and mother, and managed to work making commercial drapes. She was also a daycare provider for most of her adult life and taught infant swimming while living in California.
She collected many different types of antiques including porcelain and vinyl dolls. She made doll clothes and was involved in many other types of crafts. Throughout her life she involved herself with animals, two gibbon apes, bird and dogs.
Survivors include a son, Robert G. Biegert and his wife Carmel of Medford; three grandchildren, Brandon Beigert of Stockton, California, Megan Biegert of Portland, and Andrew Scott of Medford.
She was preceded in death by her mother Violet Robinson, stepfather Harry Robinson, half-brother Dale Frank of Golden, Colorado, and stepbrother Jack Robinson of Mohave Valley, Arizona.
