Shirley I. Stelt

Shirley I. Stelt, age of 90, of Grants Pass, died Sunday, September 8, 2013 at an adult foster home.

No services are planned. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Shirley was born April 17, 1923 in Detroit, Michigan. She was raised in Detroit and graduated from beauty college there and worked as a beautician for six years. In 1959 she moved to Granada Hills, California. She worked at Litton Guidance and Control as an electronic assembler. In 1969 she moved to Redding, California and in 1979 moved to Grants Pass.

Shirley loved crocheting and gardening.

Survivors include three children, Alan C. Stelt of Anderson, California, Kathleen J. Stelt of Grants Pass, Oregon and Bonnie A. Hancock of Decatur, Texas; a brother, Thomas Gies of Marion, Ohio; six grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter C. Stelt Jr; and two sons, Dale C. Stelt and Gary R. Stelt.
