Shirley Ann Brosmore, age 83, of Merlin, died Monday, September 14, 2015 at Black Oak Adult Foster Home.
Shirley was born November 19, 1931 in San Francisco, California to Joseph & Nelly Ault. She grew up in San Francisco and in her late teens met her future husband at a U.S. Marines Function while he was stationed in San Francisco. They were soon married and later divorced after 25 years of marriage in 1980. She moved with her 13 year old son to Cupertino, California and lived with her sister Arlene for a few years. They then moved to San Jose where Shirley was employed as an assembler at Applied Technology. After her retirement, she worked part-time at Target. In July 2015 she moved from San Jose to Grants Pass.
Shirley was always a devout Catholic.
She especially enjoyed watching her grandchildren grow up. She loved God’s little angels…all children.
Survivors include his son, Gordon B. Brosmore Jr and wife Christina; grandson, Shane Brosmore and granddaughter, Cheyenne Brosmore (born on Shirley’s birthday) all of Merlin; two brothers, Joseph and Tommy; six sisters, Maggie, Janet, June, Ruth, Diane, and Arlene. She was preceded in death by her former husband, Gordon Byron Brosmore Sr in 2015.
A funeral mass will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 26, 2015 at St. Anne Catholic Church.
