Shirley A. Barrow, age 92, of Grants Pass, died September 6, 2021 at Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno, Nevada.
Shirley was born December 23, 1928 in Pueblo, Colorado to Bertha and Lewis Sebring. She married in 1950 and it was truly love at first sight. Shirley and Roy were married 54 years until the day of his death on 11/24/2004.
While owning a business in California, they traveled the world, after and along with, raising three children. In 1982, they retired and moved to Oregon.
Shirley loved cooking, dancing, church, being a wife and mother, reading and writing letters that were like novels. Most important to Shirley were her family, God, and her friends. If you became her friend, you were a part of her family.
Shirley was a member of Calvary Chapel in Grants Pass.
Shirley enjoyed many hobbies including reading, studying the Word of God, knitting, taking care of her plants and hummingbirds, quilting and sewing, and traveling and she was a vocal republican.
Shirley’s favorite Bible verse - Acts 16:31-34
Survivors include her three children, Judy L. Dougherty, Sharalynn A. Culy, and Gary L. Barrow; two sons-in-law; one daughter-in-law; seven grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild on the way.
She is preceded in death by her husband, and Roy is thrilled to be reunited with Shirley again as their love never died.
Donations, in Shirley’s memory, may be made to the American Center for Law and Justice; Boys Town; St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital; Calvary Chapel Truckee or Calvary Chapel Grants Pass; Christian Action Network; or Samaritans Purse.
