Shawn Wonsyld

Shawn Wonsyld, age 25, of Grants Pass, died Saturday, September 7, 2013 at his home.

A Celebration of Life will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, September 13, 2013 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Stake Center on Williams Highway. Interment will follow at Hawthorne Memorial Gardens. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

A viewing will be from 12:00 p.m. to 12:45 p.m. in the Relief Society Room just prior to the service.

Shawn Michael Wonsyld was born August 5, 1988 in Grants Pass where he was raised and attended school. He has been logging since middle school with his Dad, and his brother, Brent, recently joined them. He was also a wildlands fire fighter and recently fought the Brimstone fire.

He loved his family, friends and the woods. Shawn enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, riding quads and dirt bikes, working on trucks and woodworking. Most of all he liked to go wheelin', tough trucks and being with those he loved. He had a heart of gold and was the first to lend a helping hand.

He is survived by his parents, Mike & Chris Wonsyld; brothers, Jarrad Carlson and Brent Wonsyld; sisters, Chelsae Booth and Heather Wonsyld; niece Kendall Booth; along with a lot of extended family including his grandma, Connie Mayer and Great-grandma “Oma” Enid Sealy.
