Sandy J. Ryan

Sandy J. Ryan, age 66, of Merlin, died Saturday, January 8, 2011 at her daughter’s home.

No services are planned at this time. Private interment will be at Sparlin Cemetery. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

She was born Sandra Jeannette Queen July 1, 1944 in Medford, Oregon to Cyrus & Doris (Rose) Queen. On August 3, 1963 she married Clifford N. Ryan and they later divorced in 1980. In 1965 she moved from Bakersfield, California to Grants Pass and then lived in various places in Washington, Oregon, and California before settling back in Grants Pass in 1971. In 1986 she moved to Merlin.

Sandy attended Vineyard Christian Fellowship and for 49 years she was a member of Pythian Sisters and held various offices. She was also a member of an R.V. Group where she was known as “Sassy” traveling in her Toyota Dolphin Camper. She especially enjoyed going to the “Slabs” – a dry dock R.V. Park in San Diego, California.

Survivors include a daughter, Michelle VerMeer and husband, David of Grants Pass, Oregon; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Janice Prins in 2010.
