Samuel Charles Heath

Samuel Charles Heath, age 81, of Grants Pass, went home to the Lord, Thursday, November 7, 2013 at his home.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 15, 2013 at Eagle Point National Cemetery with military honors. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Samuel was born June 25, 1932 in Fairfield, Idaho to Theodore & Blanch Heath. Samuel grew up in Fairfield. He joined the United States Army in August of 1949 and served in Okinawa and was honorably discharged in January of 1953. Samuel then met and married Allene Sharp.

Samuel moved to Chico, California and was the owner of Sams Door Shop for many years. After retiring he moved to Grants Pass, Oregon.

Samuel was a member of the Chico, California Elks Lodge for 41 years.

His hobbies included fishing, hunting, camping, his church family and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Allene Heath; daughter, Pam Leonard and husband David; son, Sam A. Heath; daughter Tammy Beasley and husband Curt; son, Ron Heath; grandchildren, beloved David Lee, Michael, Coleen, Ashley, Curtis, Jennifer, Emily, Allysa, Samantha, Jeremy, Colton, Caitlan and Shayna; great-grandchildren, David, Marissa, Taylor, Jaden and Heath; sister, Betty Hess of Coalinga, California; sister-in-laws, Lorena Heath of Fairfield, Idaho and Joyce Heath of Gooding, Idaho and several nieces and nephews.
